Tampa, FL Native

Emily came to the farm as a volunteer in May 2014 and joined the QLF staff in February 2015 as a barn manager. Her love for the participants, animals, and staff and her dedication to working hard showed that this Barn Goddess was not stopping there, and she was promoted to Operations Manager in May 2015. Now as the Volunteer Coordinator, her favorite thing to do at Quantum is working with the entire QLF staff, horses and volunteers to provide our participants with confidence and a sense of belonging to our herd. She was going to be a nurse at the start but the barn stole her heart! She received her Bachelor’s degree from The University of Tampa and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Animal Sciences at the University of South Florida. She is also training to get her PATH Certification while riding with trainer Carrie Peterson. When she finds time to slip away from the farm she enjoys hanging out with her husky Willow. Although she loves the land, the love of the sea runs close behind so you won’t find her objecting to the beach and a great sushi spot!
