This Jockey Club registered race horse lived up to his track-name (What’d I Miss?) in his very brief racing career. Hoagie raced only once and came in last, furlongs behind the pack! This sweet gelding was retired immediately from the track and re-trained for hunter/jumper competition. Hoagie experienced years of success in the show ring, and retired to a less physically demanding career as a Quantum therapy horse. Hoagie’s performance as a therapy horse has been every bit as successful as his hunter/jumper performance, and he’s definitely won first place in the hearts of many of our participants! At 17 hands he is the perfect size to carry our adult clients, and provides all of them a SLOW and STEADY ride. The only time this gentle giant shows his Thoroughbred speed is when he takes off to join his herd in the wide open pasture! Hoagie is now recently retired to his forever home in Brooksville with a former Quantum staff member, Maria Ensell. Here he will get to enjoy more pasture time and light riding!
