Hyde Park Event Raises Over $3,500 for Quantum Leap Farm

The sky opened up at 8:20 p.m. and poured down on a happy crowd of revelers who had gathered to enjoy beautiful Hyde Park Village, live music and a good cause. The event started at 6:30 p.m. and attracted a spirited crowd who became generous supporters of Quantum Leap Farm. QLF Board Members, staff and volunteers served up beverages while the featured band, "The Shakes Society," kept the music flowing. Here's Founder Edie Dopking celebrating event donations that will help fund Quantum Leap Farm's therapeutic programs.
This free event at Hyde Park Village on Wednesday, June 29, started off with a bang at 6:30 p.m. and was scheduled to continue until 9:30, however Mother Nature had other plans, and served up a real downpour at the height of the festivities. QLF's people and a group of other hardy souls played on in the rain, bringing the evening to a successful conclusion around 9 p.m. Quantum Leap Farm raised over $3,500.00 and has already been asked to return as a benefitting charity in next year's series.
Quantum Leap Farm wants to thank Hyde Park Village, Jocelyn Brenner and her team, and all the supporters who turned out for Quantum Leap Farm, including volunteer Dewayne Staats (yes, the Voice of the Rays!) shown here looking for a customer. On his right is Quantum Leap Farm Board Member, Cheryl Lucente, who did much of the official paperwork for the event--and on Dewayne's left is another famous QLF donor--Michelle Ansley. She just climbed Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro as a fundraiser for the Farm. You can read all about her heroic effort on this website's News page.
