Your employer may match the value of your volunteer hours or your financial donations with corporate cash. And some employers wish to encourage group volunteer activities within their company. Volunteer groups benefit their corporation through team building, leadership development and enhanced communication facilitation between employees and work groups. Your group could receive recognition, a grant and/or matching funds for their volunteer efforts.
