Alexis received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a specialization in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida in 2010 and her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2012. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and has additional involvement in AHA. As an undergraduate student, Alexis interned at Quantum Leap Farm in 2009 and remained as a steadfast volunteer and friend until she officially joined the staff in July 2013.

Due to her graduate education and holistic philosophy on the relationship between horses and humans, her main focus is to restore and improve quality of life through the benefits of Hippotherapy while utilizing the horse as a primary modality. By means of her extensive background, Alexis has a versatile set of attributes that she is able to utilize while working at Quantum Leap Farm, such as her experience with IT, safety procedures and protocols, ergonomic assessments, organizational strategies and event management. On any given day, you can find Alexis in the arena with a participant, driving a tractor, trimming goat’s feet or fixing someone’s computer.
